“New York City Subway Portraits” is a series of images taken with my iPhone unbeknownst to the subjects on the NYC subway, where the natural light and long rides in the outer boroughs - where the subway lines go above ground - make it a perfect “natural studio.” We use our subway rides to unwind, reflect and reconnect with those we are with. With an unspoken trust, we let our guards down and enjoy a brief respite from the bustle of the city.
